Ring rolling (also known as ring rolling, ring rolling, drilling, and ring rolling) is a plastic manufacturing process that relies on a ring rolling machine (also known as a ring rolling machine, ring hot continuous rolling, and reaming machine) to cause continuous partial plastic deformation of the ring, so as to complete the plasticity production process of wall thickness reduction, diameter expansion, and cross-section wheel gallery forming. This technology is suitable for the production and manufacture of round mechanical parts of various shapes and sizes, such as rolling bearing rings, gears, flanges, wheel rims, thick-walled cylindrical parts, wind power flanges, high-neck flanges and other seamless splicing ring forgings. Ring products are widely used in machinery and equipment, vehicles, trains, ships, petrochemical equipment, airlines, aerospace, nuclear energy, wind turbines and many other industrial production industries. The materials of the rings are usually carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel plate, titanium, alloy copper, aluminum alloy profiles, cobalt alloys, nickel-based superalloys, superalloys, etc.
(1) The tonnage of machinery and equipment is small, and the scope of production and processing is large. The whole process of rolling ring forming is the total amount of continuous small deformation of part of the charge, and the total contact area between the product workpiece and the mold is small, so the deformation force is small, and the tonnage of machinery and equipment is small.
(2) High utilization rate of raw materials. The cross-sectional shape of the rolled ring is closer to the finished product, and the residual amount of processing is small.
(3) Good product quality. The metal fibers of the rolled rings are continuously spread along the upper part of the circle, which is consistent with the resistance and damage of the part during application. In most cases, the internal mechanism of the rolled ring is high-density, the crystal is fine, and the comprehensive physical properties are significantly higher than those produced and processed by other means.
(4) Good working standards and high production efficiency. The ring rolling is similar to the negative pressure rolling, basically no impact, vibration, low noise, easy to operate, high level of mechanical automation and automation technology, and the labor efficiency of employees is greatly reduced.
(5) Low cost of production and manufacturing. Compared with open forging, the consumption of raw materials is low, the energy consumption is low, the comprehensive production and manufacturing is low-cost, and it has good economic benefits.
